A2 Identify target audiences and potential clients
Defining a target audience
A target audience is what demographic you
are going for such as age, gender.
Funding sources
I need funding for recording and releasing
music, buying equipment and help develop my career. Some places I can get
funding from are:
The Princes Trust: The prince's trust has
helped many famous musicians such as Ozzy Osbourne, The Vamps, Phil Collins They
have hosted Rock Galas and Fashion rocks
Women who make music:
The aims of women make music are to break
down assumptions and stereotypes within the music industry by encouraging role
models for future generations. They do this to raise awareness of the gender
gap and to ensure that women are aware that support for new music is available
to them. They increase the profile of women, trans and non-binary artists.
Crowd funding:
Examples of crowd funding are Patreon and
Kickstarter. On Patreon, you can let your fans become active participants un
the work they love. Kickstarter is where people come together to fund a person
who has a creative idea and funding that person makes the creative idea become
a reality.
Online you could develop your social
network on Facebook by joining groups.
Potential Clients
My potential
clients is my outside band, Miasma. We have a gig booked in May and we are
playing 5 songs. I could offer my services of being a guitar player to other
bands in need of one, I could also offer people such as Lexie and Ayden my
services as a guitar player for their songs. They could also get me in to play
guitar on projects they would be working on.
